HomeLinks Service
Are you housebound due to age, infirmity or disability and unable to make it to any of Merthyr’s Libraries?
Perhaps a member of your family is housebound, or you are a neighbour, carer or health professional who has contact with someone who is unable to leave the house?
If so, Merthyr Tydfil Public Library’s HomeLink’s Service is for you.
All you have to do is let us know that you would like to sign up to the HomeLink’s Service and our specialist librarian will call you for a friendly chat. She’ll spend some time getting to know you and your reading preferences including the types of books you like, your favourite authors and subjects, as well as finding out if you would like your selection in Normal Print, Large Print or Audio formats.
We will then deliver to you once every three weeks. Don’t worry if you haven’t finished the books, you already have, you’ll be able to keep them until the next visit. You’ll also be able to change the number of items you borrow if you find you don’t have enough or you have too many.
