About this Library
Treharris Library is a Grade II listed building built with a donation of money from Mr Carnegie. The building was designed by local architect William Dowdeswell. Treharris Library was officially opened in 1909 by the Mayor Alderman Andrew Wilson.
Currently Treharris Library is closed for building works and is due to open in September 2025. Treharris currently have a Library hub situated in the Treharris Community Centre.

Treharris Library hub houses a small range of materials – Fiction and Non-Fiction, Junior, Teen and Adult in Welsh and English. We have a selection of Large Print, Audio, Graphic Novels, and the Reading Well collection.
